COMPETITION GUIDELINES
K-POP DANCE & SINGING
In consideration of my registration acceptance to participate in this event, I do hereby, for myself, heirs, executors, and administrators waive, release and forever discharge any and all rights claims for damages which I may have, or which may occur to me, against NC KoreaFest and InWave, and for its state and district associations, all organizers of the event, and against any competitors for any and all damages which may be sustained by me in connection with my association with my participation in or entry in NC KoreaFest, and in connection with any medical service I may be provided in connection with any such injury or illness.
All performances are required to have music. A performance audition may not surpass 4 minutes. The audition performance video must be the same exact performance that would be performed live on stage if it were to be accepted. Any exceptions must be approved by the InWave Team.
Deadline: September 30. Results will be released within two weeks of the deadline, via email. For all inquiries and questions, please email InWaveMovement@gmail.com.
Music must be provided through the submission form. Music is prohibited from containing political, and religious elements, abusive language, and obscenities. Any props used during the performance must be disclosed and approved by the InWave team.
K-Pop Dance Contest: Song choices must be a K-Pop song by Korean artists.
Korean Singing Contest: Song choice must be a Korean song from any genre. If the original Korean song is recorded in English, then it is acceptable to be performed in English for the contest.

By submitting this form, you also agree to, if you are accepted to perform at the live competition or any of NC KoreaFest's live stage performances, that you will be promoting the event on your social media accounts to an extent. We will be providing the assets.

CREATIVE TAE KWON DO PERFORMANCE
In consideration of my registration acceptance to participate in this event, I do hereby, for myself, heirs, executors, and administrators waive, release and forever discharge any and all rights claims for damages which I may have, or which may occur to me, against NC Koreafest and InWave, and for its state and district associations, all organizers of the event, and against any competitors for any and all damages which may be sustained by me in connection with my association with my participation in or entry in NC Koreafest, and in connection with any medical service I may be provided in connection with any such injury or illness.
All performances are required to have music (There is no restriction on the genre of music). A performance may not surpass 4 minutes. 1 minute to set up, 4 minutes of performance and 1 minute for cleaning (total 6 minutes). Music for the live performance must be provided through the submission form. Music is prohibited from containing political, and religious elements, abusive language, and obscenities.
This is a group competition. 2 or more members are required to enter this contest.

Standing on chairs or tables and the usage of tumbling boards or any similar devices are strictly prohibited for this performance. The use of poles and similar devices to hold boards for high-jumping breaks are allowed; these must be pre-approved by the InWave team.
Due to safety and liability issues, it is strictly prohibited to use/bring weapons, pyrotechnics, fireworks or flame-type products, or any product that can cause harm to the performer and attendees. In regards to breaking, any Tae Kwon Do striking or kicking technique may be used, with the exception of head strikes, which will lead to a procedural deduction for each. Boards used for breaking must be provided by the performing team themselves.
